St. Patrick’s Cathedral, also known as the seat of the Roman Catholic archbishop of New York was built in Gothic style. It is located between Pearl and Whitehall Streets and was built in the Georgian style. The Abyssinian Baptist Church is located at 138th Street and was built in 1923 in the Gothic as well as Tudor i.e. the Neo – Gothic style. This building was constructed with limestone.
Riverside Church even known as an interdenominational Church is located in Upper Manhattan, New York City. It is a Gothic Style church built in 1927. Its bell tower is 392 foot high, thus making the building to be known as the tallest church building in the United States. This indeed makes it a famous and most popular tourist destination of the city.
St. John’s Episcopal Church commonly known as the Church of the Generals is located at Brooklyn. All the military officers stationed at Fort Hamilton Army Base used to come here to worship. So, it was well known by this name.
